We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of you for your understanding and cooperation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Japanese Government Task Force decided to end the pre-emergency measures for prevention of spread for Okinawa Prefecture on February 20. On February 18, 2022, the Okinawa Prefectural Government announced “the Period of prevention of re-emergence of infection (Okinawa Prefecture policy),” starting on February 21. According to the policy, we will make changes of the university’s countermeasures as follows:
Although the infection situation in Okinawa Prefecture is still unpredictable, the infection situation in our university is starting to calm down, and we decided to take action in accordance with the policies of Okinawa Prefecture.
We would like to ask you to continue to follow the prevention measures against infection based on the Okinawa Prefecture Policy, and engage in studying, teaching and research activities. Your understanding and cooperation would be appreciated.
〇The level for restriction on activities on campus will be changed to “1” on February 21 (Mon).
For contents of activities, please refer to “Guideline for restrictions on activities for preventing the spread of COVID-19” (available on the university website).

(1)Lectures
Since the second semester of this academic year has already ended, we will announce our policy for implementing lectures for the first semester of the next academic year separately.
(2)Extracurricular activities
A separate notice will be sent to representatives and advisors of clubs/circles. Please engage in activities based on the notice.
(3)Working arrangement for administrative staff members
The notice “”working arrangement for administrative staff members related to the countermeasures against infection of COVID-19 (updated on January 7, 2022)” will be abolished on February 20 (Sun). Thereafter, please take necessary prevention measures against infection at each office and engage in work in accordance with the university’s guideline for restrictions on activities. Depending on the spread of infection in the future, we may ask another working arrangement again.
